PENGEMBANGAN TENUN SEBAGAI MODEL PARIWISATA BUDAYA BERKELANJUTAN PADA MASYARAKAT BADUY
Abstract
Kanekes Village is a customary traditional village which is the area where Baduy indigenous people live. With its natural and cultural potential, in its development it has become a cultural tourism destination. The purpose of this study is to create a model for the development of sustainable cultural tourism in the Baduy community through the development of weaving as an attraction for sustainable cultural tourism. This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection using interviews, field observations and document studies, as for the data analysis method used by using data triangulation. The results showed that the socio-cultural system of Baduy weaving community has the potential to become a sustainable cultural tourism attraction. Baduy Weaving has a uniqueness that can be upgraded to become a cultural tourism attraction. With this weaving tourism model, tourists can be invited to see and be involved in community activities in weaving activities. Along with the increase in tourism that occurs in Baduy, there is also an increase in home industry activities that occur in Baduy. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that there is a policy of developing community-based weaving tourism in Baduy, as well as community participation in the development of community-based weaving tourism.
