PENERAPAN PRINSIP-PRINSIP EKOWISATA OLEH PRAMUWISATA DKI JAKARTA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know and analyze the implementation of the ecotourism principles by the DKI Jakarta’s tourist guides.  The study is a survey using a questionnaire developed by the underlying theories of five ecotourism principles. In the early stages, theoretical validation was conducted toward 20 respondents. Validity and reliability test results showed all items are valid. Data was collected using simple random sampling technique involving 71 respondents. The measurement of the implementation used mean score and the result was then described. Two categories of the respondent criteria, e.g. the tourist guide level and the working experience were also analyzed using non parametric analysis Mann Whitney dan Kruskal Wallis with SPSS ver. 21.00 software. The results showed that the tourist guides “often” but not “always” implement the ecotourism principles while on duty. Based on the tourist guide level and the working experience, it is shown that there is a significant difference in implementing the ecotourism principles while on duty
